It was 1927 when Vanda and Bruno decided to open their first bakery in the heart of Rome on Via Giulia in front of the famous Ponte Sisto, a bridge from which Bruno used to dive every year to inaugurate the season. Vanda was pregnant and decided to name her son after the old bridge. In 1943 Sisto embarked on the transatlantic Rex to work as a cook and it was on the transatlantic that Sisto met Giulia, an Italian-American tourist on board.
The two young people fell in love and with their love they created the Giulia & Sisto restaurant in the heart of Rome, destined to forever preserve the memories of their meeting on the transatlantic.
